Eligibility:

  • 70% & above in 10th, 12th
  • CGPA >= 7.0
  • No active backlogs

There were 4 rounds in total, each of them held virtually online on the Mettle platform with each of them being eliminatory.

Initially, we were asked to register on the superset platform where the last round of technical interview was taken.

All rounds were completed within a month and the results were announced the very next day after the last round.

Around 175 eligible students were registered for the drive.

Round 1 (Online Assessment) :

It consisted of 6 sections, each having some specific amount of questions and sectional timing for each of them. Total around 55 Qs in about an hour.

  • Quick round (5 mins 25 Qs)
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Analytical Questions
  • Logical reasoning
  • Verbal Aptitude
  • 2 Guesstimates

24 students were shortlisted after this round. Keep in mind that each section has its own cutoff time. Be fast and accurate, and don’t waste time on lengthy problems.

Round 2 (Verbal Assessment) :

Below is the description of the assessment to be completed within an hour:

  • In the verbal assessment, you will be presented with multiple statements/audio clips. You will have to read and record these statements/content of audio clips.
  • The next section involves speaking on a topic for 60 seconds.
  • You will also come across some MCQs and fill in the blanks as well to assess your written skills.
  • The final section would comprise writing a short paragraph/essay.
  • All questions are mandatory.

22 students out of 24 were shortlisted after this round. This round is easy and only those who would have faced technical issues or had very very poor verbal skills were eliminated. So keep your network connections, audio/video input/outputs intact.

Round 3 (Technical Assessment) :

This round comprised of 3 sections to be completed within 65 minutes:

  • SQL MCQs (10 Qs)
  • 1 programming question (only Python and Java were allowed, medium difficulty)
  • 2 SQL queries

Overall an easy to medium-level assessment. Try to solve every question correctly as fast as possible. I know people who wronged even a single question or someone who answered everything correctly but took 60+ minutes to be rejected.

Only 6 students out of 22 were selected after this round.

Final Round (Technical + Behavioral Interview) :

Here is a full overview of how my interview went

  • Started with his introduction and then asked me to Introduce yourself, Have you done any internships? I didn’t so he proceeded on.
  • Any projects? Then I explained all the details about my project, the idea, the tech stack, the working, etc, etc.
  • Asked me some counter questions regarding my project, what difficulties you faced, any teammate issues, etc, etc.
  • Then he asked me about database indexing and database partitioning. Difference between inner join and self join.
  • Then on the digital board, asked me to write 2 SQL queries (related to joins, group by, aggregate functions, and easy-med ones).
  • Then asked me about any hackathon participation and co-curriculum activities in my college.
  • Finally some behavioral questions in the end like, Why do you want to join ZS? About my leadership skills? End

He didn’t ask me any Guesstimate or Puzzle but be prepared for them. Ensure a stable internet connection and remain calm. The interviewer was super chill and if your concepts are clear you do not have to worry about anything, politely refuse if you do not know any answer instead of speaking gibberish.

In the end, 5 out of 6 students were offered the role and I was one of them.
