Functions of NTA
The functions of the National Testing Agency or NTA are shared below.
- To discover partner institutions with sufficient infrastructure from the existing educational institutions, which enables the conduct of online exams without hampering their academic routine.
- To administer any other competitive exam allocated by the Ministries/Departments of Government.
- To develop a strong R&D culture and expert portal in various testing aspects.
- To assist individual colleges and universities in the different testing fields and also give training and advisory services to Indian Institutions.
- To develop a question bank for each and every subject with the help of advanced techniques
- To perform the reforms and training of school boards and other authorities where the grading standards are compared with other entrance exams.
NTA Full Form
The NTA is an independent and autonomous premier testing organization established by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI) to conduct national-level entrance examinations such as UGC NET, JEE, CUET, CMAT, etc. Candidates are granted admissions /fellowships in various higher educational Universities/Institutions through this entrance exam.
The role of NTA is to publish notifications, exam dates, and exam center allocation and ensure the smooth conduct of the entrance exam. The main objective of the NTA is to bring equality and quality in education by conducting reliable, fair, and transparent competitive examinations.
