Galgotias University Admission Experience

I am currently a second-year student at Galgotias University, pursuing a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I’d like to share my admission experience with you.

I didn’t score as high as I had hoped in my Class 12th exams, and I wasn’t confident about passing the JEE Mains. So, I decided to consider private universities for my undergraduate studies. Since many people I know were studying at Galgotias University, and it is conveniently close to where I live, my family and I decided that this would be the best option for me.

I had applied to several colleges, including Galgotias University in GR. Noida, DIT and UPES in Dehradun, and Vanasthali in Jaipur. I also took the entrance exams of UPES and Vanasthali and luckily, I passed both. Both UPES and Vanasthali offered me admission for the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Choosing between these universities was tough as they all are well-regarded. However, I reached out to a friend who was a third-year student at Galgotias University, studying the same course. He provided valuable insights about the university, which helped my parents and me decide to go with Galgotias University.

Admission Procedure at Galgotias University

The admission process at Galgotias University was straightforward and hassle-free. I gathered all the necessary information about document requirements and admission fees through a phone call with the university’s admission cell. Accompanied by my parents, I went to Galgotias Campus 1 to start the admission process. We submitted photocopies of the admission form, offer letter, and other required documents, along with my signatures. We paid the first instalment of the program fees, which was Rs. 25,000 (refundable).

After completing the admission process, we were instructed to get my ID card. It took us about half an hour to receive the ID card. The entire admission process was simple and subtle, without any problems. Everyone was helpful and kind, making the experience very pleasant.

Since Galgotias University also offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls, we decided to book a seat in the girls’ hostel for me by paying half of the hostel fee, which was Rs. 62,500 for a non-A/C room. The hostels are within the campus, which is very large and beautifully landscaped with plenty of greenery. I like the environment of the area.

With my admission number generated and my ID card in hand, I officially became a student at Galgotias University for the 2022-2026 session. The staff at the admission cell were very helpful, and the entire process took only about 1-1.5 hours.

I hope sharing my experience helps those considering Galgotias University for their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
