TCS Smart Hiring Interview Experience | Freshers | Full time

Hello to everyone reading this article. I GOT SELECTED for TCS Ignite via the TCS Smart Hiring FREE test held on January 2024. I hope you all know the process of TCS Smart Hiring already so let’s begin with the interview experience.

I was called for an interview which was an OFFLINE interview by the way, in one of the largest offices of TCS Kolkata. We had three interview rounds simultaneously. Let’s understand each round one by one below:

The first round began with the technical questions where the interviewer asked me questions regarding the tools and technologies written in my CV. So be prepared and thorough with that one!

I was asked about my favorite subjects in BCA upon which I nominated PYTHON, DBMS, OS and NETWORKING. Here is a list of few questions which were asked to me :

• Define a class and write a function inside it. Also call the function and explain the process.
• What are the layers in OSI? On which layer does the router work?
• How do we connect a python program with a database?
• What is the difference between a switch and a router?

The second round began immediately after the first one in the same room. It was a managerial round where I was asked whether I would be comfortable working in night shifts or not and some more technical questions.

After these rounds we were asked to wait in the lobby and then an HR came to call us for the HR round.

The final round was the HR round where the HR asked me the same question about night shifts. He went on to ask me about my family and my father’s occupation. He asked me who my family members were and what job do they do. The HR round was just a conversational round apart from the ones we generally think of and get prepared or stressed for.
