TCS Interview Experience for Digital role

Two months ago, I got a chance to sit in an interview (Digital role) with TCS. This was part of the on-campus hiring process conducted on 15th February 2024. The selection for this role was based on the TCS NQT exam scores.

Round 1: TCS NQT Exam

The first part was the online technical test. I took this test in January 2024 at the ION Digital Zone, as our college is one of TCS’s priority institutions. The results got announced in February, and I was called for an interview on our campus for the Digital role, offering a package of 7 LPA.

Round 2 : Interview

The second part was the interview process. It comprised of three rounds – Technical Round, Managerial Round, and HR Round. All three rounds were conducted on the same day at our college, in offline mode. There were 3 panel members in the interview panel to cover those 3 rounds.

The interviewers asked me to introduce myself and explain why I chose Python as my primary coding language. They also asked questions related to my project and why I would like to join TCS. They wanted to know what motivated me to choose this company and if I was willing to relocate. They even asked if I would accept an offer for a position that wasn’t my first choice.

Asked me to write a code to print a specific pattern, and for a palindrome string in C language. They wanted to know how I would calculate the length of a string without using strlen(). They asked about my willingness to work night shifts, my plans for higher studies, my strengths and weaknesses, and my hobbies. They even wanted to know the three best qualities in me.

The interview concluded with them asking if I had any questions for them.
