Nainital Bank Interview Experience For IT officer

Nainital Bank IT officer interview was at Regional Office Noida sector 62. The reporting time was 9 AM. After reporting they called for document verification and long waiting called for an interview. There are two interview panels, one is of the CTO of NBL bank and the other is about I don’t know. My interview is taken by other than the CTO panel.

First, enter the room and wish every member (3 members). They said please sit. They don’t ask intro, directly ask what you are doing now. Then they ask very basic questions.

1. What is an IP address?
2. Ipv4 Vs ipv6 size difference.
3. What is the OSI model layer name?
4. Gateway works at which layer.
5. What is DNS and its port number?
6. When we are sending an email which protocol is used?
7. Which TLS version is currently used?
8. What is spyware?
9. Is UPI safe?

Then one member asked me: any extra quality you have which helps us?

I said yes. I know about app development. He said no we don’t need app development, we already released a tender for making our banking app.

Anything other than this.

Me: Yes I know database. Then he asked basic questions.

1. What is the primary key?
2. What are ACID properties?
3. Name some database management software.

Then he said you can go now.

Note: After the interview, when I was coming out from the toilet which was just near reception, saw a man wearing a Nainital Bank ID card talking to one candidate ” Tu tension mat le mane bat karle ha tera ho jaye ga”. After realising I listened to his facial expression…

Please note that they give preference to their employees. Many clerks come for an interview. Nainital Bank is a private bank so you can’t file a RTI. Nainital Bank is making Malpractices in their recruitment. There is no transparency in the recruitment process.
