What is Square of a Number?
When an integer is multiplied by itself, it is called a square of that number. In simple words, a number that is multiplied two times is known as a square number. A square number is denoted as ‘n2 ‘ in mathematics.
Examples of Square Numbers:
Suppose a number ‘7’ is given. To find its square, just multiply it again by ‘7’. Here, we get 7⨯7= 49. So, ’49’ is the square of ‘7’. Some more examples of finding a square number are below:
- 52 = 5⨯5= 25
- 122 = 12⨯12= 144
