Project managers are having lot of responsibilities as they are the center figure for entire project. They need to report all information to their organisation higher officials, employees and clients as well. Let us discuss key responsibilities that project manager holds.
- Requirement Analysis : Once client or organisation decided to develop the product. Project manager will take the responsibility to do analysis on user needs. They do further analyze on what are the technology and software required for the development purpose, how many teams needed, how many resources needed for each team, duration required to release the product and so on. They will first analyse these areas and finalize this to client and organization.
- Planning : Project managers plan on life cycle of the project. They do planning on when the project should start, how long software licence is required, what are the trainings need to undertake for employees and other planning related to project activities.
- Budget Decision : They are the important figure to participate in the budget decision for project. They do bar gain with their clients with valid reason. They document all their analysis and planning discussion. With help of this analysis and planning, they decide the budget for the project.
- Engagements : They do engage with client and other employees. They conduct meeting and schedule meeting for all discussions. These meetings subject is to discuss about project features, project scope, technologies, deadline for projects and so on. They can also individually collaborate with each team to know about their work progress and team goals.
- Deciding timelines : They decide timelines for project along with client. They decide on when the features should go live, when the training should be completed for employees, when the product release date should be decided on each month and so on.
