Troubleshooting AirDrop issues
AirDrop works well. Consider the following if it’s not operating properly.
1. Both devices must be closed and have AirDrop enabled. You can’t AirDrop to another city. That doesn’t work. They must be 50 feet away.
2. On most devices, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled by default, but if you’re not able to find the person you want to send files to, make sure they’re enabled.
3. Transferring large files like video takes longer. Try not to interrupt the transfer; otherwise, AirDrop will fail.
4. Sharing or receiving AirDrop files requires you to turn off your hotspot.
