Airdrop from iPhone to Mac
When it comes to transferring data, being able to send photos from your iPhone to your Mac is crucial. Utilizing Airdrop for transferring files from your iPhone to your Mac offers advantages. One advantage is that you don’t have to sign into the iCloud account on both devices. It means you no longer have to permit each transfer.
Step 1: Set Up Airdrop on Your Mac
Ensure that Airdrop is correctly configured on your Mac.
Step 2: Access Airdrop on Mac
On your Mac, open Finder and click on the Airdrop option located in the sidebar.
You can directly locate the Airdrop through the Finder Window or using the “Go.”
Step 3: Get ready with your iPhone
On your iPhone, navigate to your Photos app and select the album containing the images you wish to transfer.
Step 4: Initiate Sharing
Return to your Mac and ensure that the “Allow me to be discovered by” option is set to “Everyone” or “Contacts Only” as per your preference. Keep this Finder window open, as it is necessary for Airdrop.
Step 5: Share from iPhone
On your iPhone, tap the share button, typically located at the bottom of your screen. Select the “Airdrop” option from “Sharing.”
Step 6: Select Your Mac device
From the list that appears on your iPhone, choose your Mac’s name. Airdrop will initiate the transfer of photos from your iPhone to your Mac.
Step 7: Monitor Transfer
The file transfer will continue. Be patient while your iPhone and Mac connect. Keep iPhone Airdrop on. Macs will sound a notification and store files in your downloads folder after the transfer.
