B.Ed Admission Process in India
The B.Ed admission process in India is divided into several steps. Let’s understand each of these steps.
Eligibility: The candidate should be eligible to study in B.Ed college. Basic requirements to study B.Ed are Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and age above 19 years.
Entrance Exam: If the candidate is eligible, they can take any B.Ed entrance exams. Some popular B.Ed exams are UP B.Ed JEE, TS EDCET, Bihar B.Ed CET, RIE CEE, etc. After securing good marks in any of these exams, students can join a B.Ed college.
Counselling: According to marks and cutoff, colleges invite students for counselling and admission. If the student full fill the cut-off for a college and subject, they can take admission in colleges.
Final Admission: After all these processes, the students can then enroll in the college and take admission. The admission process is different for each college but it mainly involves document submissions and fess payment.

B.Ed is a professional degree required compulsorily to teach in government and private schools in India. B Ed or Bachelor of Education can be pursued only by the graduates. The B Ed course duration is two years. Upon completing the B Ed course successfully, students are eligible to apply for teaching jobs at the school level. Moreover, B Ed admission fees range between Rs 10,000 and INR 4,00,000 in many colleges.
