/regexp/m
or
new RegExp("regexp", "m")

Javascript
function geek() { let str1 = "w3wiki is the computer " + "science portal for Beginner." ; let regex4 = /^w3wiki/gm; let match4 = str1.match(regex4); console.log( "Found " + match4.length + " matches: " + match4); } geek(); |
Found 1 matches: w3wiki
Example 2: This example searches the word “w3wiki” at the beginning of each line in a string and replaces it with “w3wiki”.
Javascript
function geek() { let str1 = "w3wiki is the computer " + "science portal for Beginner." ; let regex4 = new RegExp( "^w3wiki" , "m" ); let replace = "w3wiki" ; let match4 = str1.replace(regex4, replace); console.log( " New string: " + match4); } geek(); |
