IBM CodeKnack Interview Experience | CIC 2024 (On-Campus)

Our college notified us to register on the IBM career portal for CodeKnack CIC 2024.

Round 1 — Coidng Assessment — Offline Mode:

This test was conducted on hacker rank, duration — 90 mins, 2 programming problems:

1. one vector<string> is given … Each string has 6 integers separated by space……elements are two circles’ centers and their radius….in the format “x1 y1 r1 x2 y2 r2”…..have to tell the relation between them, if they are concentric, touching, intersecting, etc.

something like this problem — Check if two given circles touch or intersect each other.

2. Given a string in the format “s1 error”, and “s2 successful”…if for any process(s1,s2, etc) an error occurs consecutively 3 times then you need to resolve the error. You have to return how many times you had to resolve errors.

Solving 1 full question / passing 90% of the test cases of any one problem, was enough to get selected for the 2nd round.

Tip: Keep your cool, the problem will be very much implementation-based only, so don’t have to think too hard.

Round 2 — English Language Assessment:

You have to answer as many grammatical questions as possible within a given time frame.

Round 3 — Group Discussion:

All the selected candidates were divided into a few groups then each group was given a topic. (Ex — electric vs diesel vehicles).

Tip: just say something/anything related to the topic, don’t just sit there.

Round 4 — Personal Interview:

Might Vary a lot depending on your Interviewer. Try your best to make them feel interested in the projects you have done, then they are gonna ask questions mainly from there. Basic HR questions were also asked. The interview was for around 20–30 minutes (also might vary).

After Interview, you will get a selection mail within 1–2 days.
