Hello, aspiring engineers! In this article, I will share my insightful experience regarding the admission process, eligibility criteria, and required documents at Sarvajanik University.

Introduction:

Sarvajanik University, established by Sarvajanik Education Society in Surat, Gujarat, offers a diverse range of courses such as B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Arch, M.Tech, MCA, and programs in Engineering, Architecture & Planning, IT & Software. Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology (SCET) has a team of experienced faculty specializing in fields such as Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

Computer Engineering:

SCET, a well-known engineering college at Sarvajanik University, offers 10 courses, including a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. This program covers a wide range of subjects, such as computer hardware, software, networking, microprocessors, operating systems, database management, artificial intelligence, information security, and web technologies. The department aims to provide technical excellence and impart the best knowledge and skills to produce high-caliber engineering graduates.

Application Process:

For offline admission at SCET, you need to pay an application fee of approximately 100-200 RS. and fill out the application form provided by the university along with the required documents. After a specific period, the university will call you for counseling, where you can confirm your admission to your desired course based on the merit list provided by the university. The university may consider GUJCET or JEE scores for the merit-based selection process.

Examination for Admission: To secure admission into Computer Engineering at SCET, candidates are required to clear the entrance exams such as GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) and JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination). These exams evaluate the candidates’ knowledge in specific subjects, and admission is granted based on performance and ranking in these exams.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for admission into Computer Engineering at SCET are as follows:

  • Qualification: Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) from a recognized board in India or an equivalent qualification from abroad.
  • Candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from any other state and have appeared in GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year are also eligible.
  • Relaxation for Reserved Categories: Candidates from reserved categories may have specific relaxation in terms of the minimum percentage criteria and fees.
  • Minimum Percentage: A minimum score of 60% is required in the 12th examination.

  • 12th Std. Marksheet
  • Trial certificate of 12th Std.
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Relevant caste certificate and non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable) for applicants from reserved categories.
  • EWS category certificate (if applicable)
  • Physically handicapped / Ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Sports / Cultural achievement certificate (if applied in this category)
  • Miscellaneous documents (e.g., name change or any other document the candidate wants to submit)
