A Techfest is an event that brings together the brightest minds in technology and engineering. It is a platform where students, researchers, and industry leaders converge to share ideas, showcase innovations, and engage in thought-provoking discussions. In the heart of campus, tech enthusiasts from all over the city gathered for “PRISM,” an intercollegiate tech fest filled with excitement and innovation. Being part of the organizing team was an incredible experience as I saw firsthand how months of planning turned into a fantastic event that brought people together to celebrate technology. PRISM 2024 offered an incredible array of captivating activities and tasks that catered to the varied interests and abilities of the participants. The program’s activities had been carefully chosen by the organizers to motivate participants’ creativity and open their minds. Here are some fascinating events that contributed to PRISM 2024 being a genuinely remarkable experience:

• Bug Thug: A fiercely competitive coding challenge that tested participants’ problem-solving skills as they quickly navigated complex code.
• Code Mesh: Coders faced off in intense challenges to write programs for given patterns, pushing their programming prowess and problem-solving skills to the test.
• Capture The Flag (CTF): An adrenaline-fueled cybersecurity event where participants decrypted codes and solved puzzles, showcasing their expertise in hacking and cryptography.
• Algorithmic Arena: Enthusiastic problem-solvers tackled algorithmic challenges head-on, applying their analytical acumen to real-world scenarios.
• Robo Soccer: Robotics enthusiasts showcased their engineering finesse and teamwork in crafting and maneuvering robotic players in a soccer match.
• Build the Bridge: Teams demonstrated their engineering skills by constructing robust bridges capable of withstanding weight and adversity.
• Green Building Drawing: Participants designed sustainable structures, promoting eco-conscious architectural innovation.
• Best out of Waste: Participants repurposed discarded materials into ingenious creations, exemplifying the ethos of recycling and resourcefulness.

Apart from these tech events, PRISM 2024 also included fun and creative events like After Movie, Octo Draw Challenge, Snap It, and various quizzes.

As a future engineer, attending PRISM 2024 was a life-changing event that will never fade from my perspective. The caliber of participants and the sheer diversity of events were extremely impressive, demonstrating the limitless ingenuity and problem-solving skills of the upcoming generation of innovators. Being a part of the core organizing committee was an incredible experience. I was able to witness the rigorous amounts of effort that are put into organizing a Techfest. From facing new challenges and learning from them to making new connections, PRISM had everything in hand.

The “After Movie” event was a unique competition where participants created a short film capturing the highlights and spirit of PRISM 2024. Teams of filmmakers roamed the techfest, documenting events, interviewing participants, and capturing candid moments. The final products were screened on the last day, offering a nostalgic and engaging recap of the techfest. It was fascinating to see different perspectives and storytelling styles, as each team brought its unique vision to life.

As part of the videography team, I was responsible for capturing the essence of PRISM 2024. Our task was to document every significant moment, from the bustling inauguration to the intense competitions and engaging workshops. The process involved coordinating with event organizers, capturing candid moments, and ensuring comprehensive coverage of all major activities. Editing the footage to create a coherent and captivating recap of the fest was a rewarding challenge. The final product, a cinematic highlight reel, was well-received and showcased the vibrancy and innovation of PRISM.
