Round 2: Technical Round 1

The process began with my introduction where I gave a summary of my background and experience. Then the interviewer asked me about my projects in more detail. I was also asked about some databases which I have used for previous projects.

The interview mainly focused on my Java skills. They asked me to explain why synchronization is necessary in Java. After that, there was a problem statement relating to strings in Java. They asked to write a code for inserting a space between every two characters of the “POSIDEX TECHNOLOGIES” string. Some questions were asked about classes and objects in Java. They told me to write a piece of code illustrating classes and objects. Dissimilarities between objects and constructors and instantiation in Java were also covered in the interview.

I was asked if I knew anything about SQL constraints. An SQL query was given to find out employee details related to the finance department.

Round 2: Technical Round 2

I had my second interview with Posidex company which took around 20 minutes and was done online. It began with the introduction of myself. I gave a brief introduction about my educational background and shared some of my hobbies. Asked to explain the project I had completed during my internship. I explained the details of the project purpose, the technologies used and my parts in them. He wanted to know how well I knew Java on a scale of one to ten. I said 8 confidently.

Sorting algorithms were also asked in the interview. Asked me to write QuickSort code from scratch using Notepad. Instead of just writing the pseudocode, I was asked to create a class and write the code completely. They also told me to write the Fibonacci series code. I said I was most interested in Java technology when he asked me about my interests in techstack.

Toward the end of the interview he asked whether or not I knew about Posidex company and I responded by giving some information about their company’s profile.

Final round: HR

HR asked me to introduce myself in my personal life instead of talking about my professional experience. I talked about what my father does and how I assist him at home.

They wanted to know how I could support my father while working, in response to which I said that this would help me in giving better financial aid. Who was my role model and the distinction between hard work and smart work, were also discussed. When asked whether I feel Posidex has made any progress toward achieving anything significant, on this point I expressed positive views about the company’s growth and achievements. The interviewer seemed happy with how much information on their firm that I had.

They wanted to know whether or not I was committed to staying at Posidex. They also asked me if there were any other job offers that I am considering at present or have rejected earlier. They wanted the number of placement drives attended by me.
