What is Poster Design?
The creative innovation of a concept, item, or event to be displayed on a poster is known as poster design. Since it contains both textual and graphical elements and should be both eye-catching and informative, it usually combines graphic design with marketing. Posters are also a great advertising medium because they can convey important messages to people on the path in a unique and entertaining way.
A Good Poster Should:
- Ensure that the font is readable at ten to fifteen times the width of the format.
- Provide an easy-to-read structure that makes it obvious where the information lies for the reader.
- Provide all necessary information, including the date, time, place, phone number, and contact name.
- Make sure the content has a headline or image that will grab the reader’s attention right away.
- Emphasize the most important information or message with color, size, or value.
- Display artwork that is relevant to the theme.
- Make sure the font and images are presented in a practical, effective order.
- Use vibrant, bright colors to draw attention to the message to make it easier to view from a distance.
