What is an Address Bar?
The address bar or URL bar is a component of a web browser that displays the current URL and is used to input and navigate to different websites on the Internet. It can also be used to search for information on the web when you enter terms instead of a URL, depending on the browser’s configuration. The address bar provides features like autocomplete to suggest possible matches based on your history, bookmarks, or popular searches. It’s typically located at the top of a web browser window.
You can directly jump to the address bar box by clicking ” ctrl + l ” in windows operating system.
Address Bar also saves previously used addresses for usage in the future. An address bar does not accommodate several search engines as a search box does. Most Web browsers require the user to enter search terms into the address bar, and press Enter to go to the default search engine results page.
