What is INFAthon?

INFAthon is a virtual campus codeathon specially designed for pre-final year students who will be graduating in 2025. This unique competition challenges participants to solve coding problems and showcase their technical prowess in front of the Informatica leadership team. As the 4th edition of this prestigious event, INFAthon offers an incredible opportunity for students to win exciting prizes like the Apple iPhone 15, Samsung Tab S9 FE, Bose speakers, and more. Additionally, participants get a chance to meet the India Leadership team and receive preference for exclusive full-time, internship, and apprenticeship roles at Informatica....

My Experience in Stage 1

In Stage 1, I faced three coding questions focusing on Strings, Arrays, and Dynamic Programming. Unlike traditional coding competitions, there were no compilers or test cases provided. Instead, I had to submit my solutions directly and provide a video explanation for each question. This innovative approach allowed me to record and re-record my videos, ensuring I could clearly articulate my problem-solving strategies. Additionally, there was one personality-related question regarding efficient teamwork, which I had five minutes to explain....

My Experience in Stage 2

Stage 2 followed a similar format to Stage 1, with three new coding questions and one video question. This time, the coding problems involved Strings, Trees, and Dynamic Programming. Once again, I was able to solve two out of the three questions. The process required not only technical skills but also the ability to explain my approach concisely and confidently....

Awaiting Results

As I eagerly await the results, I reflect on the INFAthon experience with a sense of accomplishment. Participating in this creation has been an incredible learning opportunity, allowing me to test and improve my coding skills, as well as my ability to communicate complex ideas. The format of the competition, emphasizing both technical and soft skills, has prepared me for future challenges in the tech industry....
