TCS Codevita Contest

  • In the first round of TCS Codevita, there were 6 problems, among them I was able to solve first problem which was based on bubble sort.
  • Based on first round, I got selected for the TCS TAG Coding test which was happened in the TCS ion center for the first time .Many of my friends had solved 3-4 problems in the first round, but they were not selected for further round. TCS has very strong plagarism checker, so don’t copy paste from other resources, even if you do one coding question it’s okay.
  • This year TCS has changed the pattern and introduce TCS TAG Coding Test which was not for there for previous batches. In the TCS TAG Coding Test 2 coding questions were there.
  • First question is based on recursion and second on strings
  • I solved the first question with 4 test cases passed out of 7 and second question with 5 test cases passed out of 7.
  • TCS Codevita provides a very good opprtunity for the students as there is no criteria for 60% in 10th, 12th and graduation in the recruitment process for the students who cleared Codevita.

Interview:

The interview was in the TCS campus, the time for the interview was 9:30 am and my interview happened near about 4 pm. There were 3 panelists: A technical person, HR and MR. The first question was to introduce yourself. I was wearing my college uniform, and they noticed that and asked we were conducted the oncampus drive for your college are you selected earlier ? I told them, I am selected for TCS Ninja Profile. They were impressed and asked me, so you have got the opportunity to upgrade to a Digital profile in TCS, what topics did you prepare for today’s interview ? Then they asked, in how many companies you are placed? I said only TCS, then they asked why only TCS ? Are companies companies coming to your college or not ? I replied I got rejected in the last round in many companies such as Accenture, EYGDS, Hexaview, Coditas due to my poor communication skills and 4-5 companies visited our campus just to hire female candidates. The technical person said, why this discimination for male and female candidates, I answered, probably they have to maintain male to female ratio. Then the interviewers were laughing after listening my answer and then after that they asked very basic questions: Do you know Computer Graphics ? Write code to find, give number is a prime or not. which is your home town ? Do you have any questions for us ?...
