Significance of Culture
Almost every human behaviour , from shopping to marriage to expressions of feelings is learned from the surrounding i.e., the culture that followed around them. There shouldn’t be any form of cultural discrimination. One of the most significant factors that must be considered is that everyone must establish positive attitudes toward others.
- Culture is a way of transmitting symbols from one generation to the next.
- People need to take their cultural background into account when they think, feel, or respond to anything.
- In addition, culture is inventive. Different cultural practices are evidence of how civilizations approach challenges in real life in various ways.
- Culture imposes restrictions as well. Through time, cultures maintain their unique patterns.
Culture – Definition, Characteristics, Factors & Significance
Culture is a way of life that reveals information about shared social norms, objectives, morals, values, attitudes, and perspectives. Sociologists define culture as a group of people’s shared principles, worldviews, linguistic conventions, and customs that may be used to identify them as a whole. The tangible possessions shared by that group or community are likewise considered a part of its culture.
