Scoring Criteria for TOEFL Writing
The TOEFL writing score is 0–30. In the TOEFL writing score, raw scores are determined before scaled scores. The raw score for the TOEFL writing part ranges from 0 to 5. Thus, the TOEFL essay writing score ranges from 0 to 10. Scaled scores with a range of 0 to 30 are created from evaluated raw scores.
