  • There were 5 sections: Verbal, Analytical, Quantitative, Technical and Coding Questions.
  • The first section had 13 questions, the second had 12 questions, the third had 10 questions, the fourth had 30 questions and there were 2 coding questions.
  • There was no negative marking.
  • Technical questions were based on computer science basics.
  • Coding questions were of easy level.

Round 2 – Technical + HR interview

It was a virtual interview of approximately 30 minutes. Tell me about yourself. I was asked to explain my Samsung Prism Project, then I was asked few questions regarding the same. NOTE: Be very thorough with your projects. The next few questions were based on Software Engineering concepts. The questions were : Explain SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Tell me about Agile and Waterfall model and explain their differences. I was asked about the model that I followed in my projects. What is Polymorphism. Explain its types. Then I was asked a scenario based question on PL-SQL where I was asked the method to solve the problem. The problem given was that I was given 2 files with some data and I was asked to merge them and store it in a third file. In continuation of the previous question I was asked which sorting algorithm should be applied to the above problem and why? Then I was asked a simple SQL query: Find the details of all the people who live in either Delhi or Mumbai or Hubli. Do you have any questions for me? Few candidates were asked puzzles and simple coding questions (Pattern printing, Palindrome String, Armstrong Number, Swap 2 numbers without using third variable)....

Suggestions

Please try to solve aptitude questions on your own. Be thorough with basic concepts, OOPs, DBMS and OS. NOTE: Also go through the basic Software Engineering concepts for all the interviews. Be thorough with your projects/internships which you include in your resume. Be confident and even if you don’t know the answer, at least try to answer something related to the question asked. Always ask a question when given an opportunity! It helps you stand out and shows that you are really interested. Luck plays a significant role in college placements, so don’t lose hope....
