Round 1: Initial Screening (Written Test and Group Discussion)

The first round of the selection process involved a written test followed by a group discussion. The written test consisted of 30 multiple-choice questions and 2 essay questions, focusing on general awareness, current affairs, media knowledge, and a basic understanding of science and technology.

Written Test:

1. General Awareness and Current Affairs: This section covered recent events, notable scientific discoveries, and government policies related to science and technology.
2. Media Knowledge: The questions included topics on media ethics, social media trends, and basic journalism principles.
3. Essay Questions: The topics were “The Role of Media in Promoting Scientific Literacy” and “Challenges Faced by Science Communicators in the Digital Age.”

Group Discussion:

Our group discussion topics varied, focusing on current events and media-related issues. My group discussed “The Impact of Social Media on Public Perception of Science,” covering aspects like misinformation, the role of influencers, and strategies for effective science communication.

Suggestions for Improvement:
