Round 2 (Interview)
After Round 1, they called selected candidates for an interview. But it was more like a casual chat about GDSC and our area of interest.
Here’s what they asked –
- Introduce Yourself: Talk about who you are, like your name and what you’re interested in.
- Interests in the Domain: Say why you like the area you’re working in, like programming or web design.
- My Portfolio: Show off any work you’ve done, like websites you’ve made or apps you’ve built.
- Latest Projects: Talk about what you’re currently working on, like any new websites or apps.
- Discuss Projects and Future Goals: Explain what your projects are about and what you hope to achieve in the future.
- Why Join the Core Team?: Share why you want to be part of the main group, like wanting to help others learn about technology or wanting to work on bigger projects.
Then discussed about the roles and responsibilities, one need to take care of as a core member. Like, conducting seminers, webiners, contests, tech fest events, etc like this.
Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) Core Member Interview Experience
In 2022, during my first year of B Tech in CSE, I didn’t know about GDSC. Two months later, at a tech event, I learned about the club and its work with new technologies and innovation. I really wanted to join, but I found out that the selection process was already closed for the 2022 session. So, I had to wait until my second year of engineering.
