Iron ingots are needed to craft a shear. To craft an iron ingot, you have to put a piece of iron ore into a furnace and then put the iron ore into the top slot of your furnace and fuel into your bottom.

Since we need two Iron ingots, we will need two Iron ores. Iron can be mined with a stone pickaxe. Using a wooden or gold pickaxe will not produce any ore. After mining iron, you will gain an ore block that can be placed. However, you will not be able to make any items using just the ore. To craft any object of iron, you have to convert it into an ingot by smelting it in a furnace.
