Relation between Work and Energy
Work and Energy are related in physics. We can understand their relation in following points
- Energy is the capacity do work and work refers to the transfer of energy from one form to other
Lets say if a object is placed at top, then it possess potential energy, and when it falls it possess kinetic energy. The potential energy stored in the object in body is transformed in kinetic energy. Hence, the work done causes transfer of energy or change in energy
Work Done
Work is said to be done when a force (push or pull) applied to an object causes a displacement of the object. In our daily life, we do work and get tired. Even if we are doing our work while sitting on a chair, we say we have done a lot of work and got tired. But this is not the work done as per the definitions of physics.
