Solution:

To remove the radical, multiply the numerator and denominator by √2

Example 2: Rationalize the denominator of √5/√3.

Solution:

Given: Fraction with irrational denominator √5/√3.

Multiply both the numerator and denominator by the conjugate of the denominator, which is (√3 + √3):
