Musk’s Early Life and Education
At an early age, Elon Musk was very interested in computers and technology. At the age of 12, he taught himself how to program and even made a simple video game that he sold.
For his education, Musk went to Pretoria Boys High School. After finishing high school, he moved to Canada to attend Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, because he wanted to eventually move to the United States, and it was easier to get there from Canada. He studied there for two years.
Then, in 1992, Musk transferred to the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. There, he earned two degrees: one in physics from the College of Arts and Sciences and another in economics from the Wharton School of Business. After finishing his studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Musk went on to pursue a Ph.D. in energy physics at Stanford University in California, but he left the program just two days later to start his own business in the technology and energy sectors.
