X-Ray Polarimeter Satellite (2023)

ISRO intends to examine the polarization of cosmic X-rays using the X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat), a proposed space observatory. It will be put into operation for at least five years starting in 2023 or later using a Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV). This will study the 50 brightest objects in the universe. Pulsars, black hole X-ray binaries, active galactic nuclei, and non-thermal supernova remnants are some of the object names in those 50 brightest objects in the cosmos universe....

NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (2024)

The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) is a joint Earth-observing mission between United States and India (NASA & ISRO). This is the first radar imaging satellite and it will equipped with dual frequencies: L-band radar and S-band radar. L-band radar will measure the changes in Earth’s surface such as land deformation, ice melt, and vegetation growth and S-band radar will measure the changes in Earth’s atmosphere such as rainfall and cloud cover....

Gaganyaan-1 (2024) and Gaganyaan-2

Gaganyaan-1 and Gaganyaan-2 are the two uncrewed missions that are scheduled to launch in 2024 and 2025 as part of India’s ambitious human spaceflight program. The major goal of Gaganyaan missions is to test the technologies and systems that will be used in the crewed mission in the first two test run missions. Later the mission will be planned to send astronauts into a Low Earth orbit (LEO) for three days stay....
