JEE Main Exam Day Instructions?

NTA has issued a notification regarding the exam day instruction for the JEE Main Session 1 2024 exam. Every candidate who will be appearing for the exams on 24th January and the coming dates must adhere to all these instructions. Every candidate will have to appear for the exam at their specified exam centre on the given date and shift. Here are all the JEE Main important exam day instructions.

  • Candidates are not allowed to bring any unfair means into the examination hall. All the JEE Main exam centres are under surveillance and if any candidate is caught cheating, he or she will be disbarred from the exam and will be blacklisted from future entrance exams.
  • Every candidate must carry their admit cards, a photo ID card and a latest passport size photograph when appearing for the exam.
  • Candidates are advised to visit their respective exam centres 90 minutes before the exam begins. They can familiarise themselves with the location of their exam centre.
  • Candidates are advised to register through the DigiLocker app to get their biometrics done. If any candidate has not registered, they must visit the exam centre early to get their biometrics done.
  • When in the exam hall, the question papers will appear on your computer screens in the medium selected by you while filling out the exam form.
  • Candidates must carry their own Geometry Box Set for the Drawing Test – Part III of BArch. Only Pencils, Erasers, scales and Coloured Pencils are allowed. Watercolours are not allowed.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any kind of digital or electronic items, such as mobile phones, Bluetooth headset, earphones, tape recorders, digital or smartwatch, etc.
  • Candidates will be provided with a blank paper for rough work in the exam hall.
  • Diabetic candidates will be allowed to eat in the exam only. Only sugar pills and fruits are allowed.
  • Candidates must go through all the important exam day instructions listed on their admit cards.

The first exam of the JEE Main Session 1 2024 will be conducted on 24th January 2024. NTA authorities have released the JEE Main admit card for BArch & BPlanning (Paper 2A / 2B) on the official website of the JEE Main. Every aspirant must download their respective admit cards and carry them when appearing for the exam. The JEE Main Session 1 for B.E./ BTech courses will be conducted from 27th January to 1st February 2024. For BArch and B Planning courses, the JEE Main will be conducted on 24th January 2024.
