IELTS Band Descriptors for Writing

In the IELTS writing test, the examiner evaluates the candidate’s writing skills based on four key areas, each contributing 25% to the overall band score. These areas are:

Coherence and cohesion
Lexical resource
Grammatical range and accuracy
