How to Screen Record on Chromebook with Screencast
The Screencast app is an extra utility with Chrome OS 103 and later editions. It’s free and pre-installed on Chromebooks. It also helps you record a screen with quick notes. Follow these steps to record your Chromebook’s screen.
Step 1: Click “+ New Screencast” at the top-left corner
Click the “+ New Screencast” option at the top-left corner to start screen recording.
Step 2: Select full screen, partial area, or specific Window for Recording.
Choose Full Screen, Part Screen, or Specific Window to record.
Step 3: Click the ‘Record’ button to start the record
Once the setup is completed, tap the ‘Record’ button to start screen recording on your Chromebook. While Recording, you can also maintain the notes using the ‘Pen’ icon.
Step 4: Click the red “Stop” button to stop recording
The red “Stop” option lets you stop recording. You can share it using a link or save it as Screencast.
