How to Create a Block Quote Using the Ruler

Note that the ruler might already be present on top of your page in Google Docs. If it is, then you can skip to step 2.

Step 1: Go to the show ruler option

Click on the View tab and go to the Show Ruler option.

Step 2: Select the text

Select the text that you wish to change into a Block quote.

Step 3: Drag the left indent marker

Hold and drag the left indent marker in the ruler to 0.5 inches to the right.
