How do I feel about my college?

I am not gonna say that we have the most beautiful campus because if I did, I would be lying but I will admit that it is kind of beautiful and when the weather is good, it feels like god’s heaven. But when the weather is not good, I don’t even wanna get started but here we go, “The best part of studying in Kerala is the weather that you get to experience every day “, this is what people told me when I told them that I was gonna study in IIIT Kottayam. And I only partially agree with that statement because summer this year troubled us a lot. It was just too much to bear. And walking down the hill to have food during holidays was an absolute nightmare....

My experience over the semesters

My first semester on campus was much better than how I expected it to be. It is probably because ours was the most populated batch and we were in the majority as a result. Everybody was new, and everything was new, because being an only child, I was not used to any of the things I experienced. Usually at home, when something happened to me, I always had my parents’ back and they were always on the front row to protect me from anything. But that’s not how things worked in college, I learnt to stand up for myself, I learnt to defend myself, I learnt to be independent. And most importantly, I learnt about managing my finances, I understood the value of money, so I would come up with plans about where and how to spend my allowance. Like I said, with two more years left until graduation, I am pretty sure I will learn a lot more. And the next semesters, I got used to everything and it was way easier for me....

College Fests

Coming to the college Fests, I do not have much to say because I unfortunately missed both the fests. But from what I heard from my friends, the bands were amazing and the food was on a whole new level....

Placements

It is safe to say that placements are going well on my campus despite the recession. To my knowledge, so many of our seniors were placed with great packages and a few of them are also on their journey to higher education....
