How are Miss India Winners Selected?
The participants from all over India have to go through many stages to qualify as the winner for Miss India. They have to go through an online selection process where they have to send a video of their ramp walk and they are judged by the judging panel on four major parameters that are appearance, personality, talent, and interview.
Each candidate is judged by a panel of experts and the entries are narrowed down to a group of representatives, one from each state.

After the audition round, Femina’s social media account reveals all the 29 state representatives that are chosen with one collective representative for all the Union Territories. Now these contestants have to go through many sub-contests that go to the final round where one winner is chosen. The winner of Miss India goes on to represent India at other International pageants.

Miss India pageant has had great significance in the field of beauty and empowerment as it serves as a platform that does not care about the physical attractiveness of a person. It sees beyond physical traits which include various cultural backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities which showcase the rich Indian beauty.
While beauty is the main parameter the pageant also gives a strong importance to intellect, communication skills, and awareness of social issues.
