Objective of Panchayat Samiti

The Panchayati Samithi was formed and governed by the provisions of the Indian Constitution as well as the state Panchayati Raj acts. The Panchayat Samiti is established in every block or tehsil, which is an administrative unit comprising several Gram Panchayats. The members of the Panchayat Samiti are elected by the representatives of the Gram Panchayats within that particular block.
