First Chief Minister of Goa
Pratap Singh Rane was the first chief minister of Goa. Pratapsingh Rane is a veteran Indian politician who has dominated the politics of Goa for over five decades. He was born on 28 January 1939. He became the chief minister of Goa on 30 May 1987. He studied at Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School, Pune, This pre-independence military school, was established in 1938. He has a bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Texas A&M University, USA After completing his schooling in Pune, Rane travelled to the United States to pursue higher education.
