In this over-shortened match with just 21 overs due to rain, New Zealand team scored a total of 283 runs. Being newly positioned in the New Zealand’s cricket team, Jesse Ryder created a strong image in the selector’s eyes for the upcoming matches.

Note: In this same match against West Indies, both Jesse Ryder and Corey Anderson scored their fastest centuries with 46 and 36 balls respectively.
