Similarities between Spring AOP and Spring IOC
- Spring Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) and Spring Inversion Of Control (IOC) have their key roles in modular application design, Both used their own technique to achieve that, AOP uses a cross-cutting concept whereas IOC does all those object lifecycles and security from business logics
- Spring AOP and Spring IOC both use dependency injection, Spring AOP uses dependency injection internally and on the other hand IOC has the core feature for injecting aspects into beans.
- Both have support for annotation-based support as well, annotations like @Aspect, @Before, @Autowired, and @Component define aspects, beans, and dependencies injection. By doing this we are able to make configuration more maintainable and easier to handle.

Spring IOC
