- When Phosphate is reacted with water, we get Hydrogen Phosphate (HPO4) and Hydroxide (OH–).
PO43- + H2O ⇢ HPO42- + OH–
- When phosphate is reacted with silver, we get Silver (I) Phosphate.
PO43- + 3Ag ⇢ Ag3PO4
- When Phosphate is reacted with Nitric acid (HNO3), we get, Nitrate (NO3) and Hydrogen Phosphate (HPO4).
PO43- + HNO3 ⇢ NO3 + HPO4.
