Blunders to avoid if you are new to this

When I began my journey, I lacked guidance and made some errors. Mistakes are a natural part of learning, but I want to help you avoid the ones I made.

As I started exploring various tech stacks on YouTube, I didnā€™t stick to one channel or tutor. I was intrigued by different educators, leading me to switch channels frequently, causing confusion and wasting time. I recommend exploring available resources first, then committing to one to prevent confusion and save time.

Additionally, if you prefer not to invest in paid courses, you can effectively learn from YouTube. I learned everything from YouTube, believing that paid courses arenā€™t essential for learning tech stacks or coding. However, if you prefer having everything in one place, paid courses can be a convenient option.

Looking back, Iā€™m grateful for the challenges I faced. Each one pushed me to become better at coding. My journey started with a simple YouTube video and has led me to where I am today a front-end developer excited to keep learning and growing.

My Coding Journey From Watching YouTube to Front-End Developer

Hello everyone! First and foremost, I am truly grateful for the opportunity provided by Geek for Geeks. Here, Iā€™m sharing my journey from watching YouTube videos to becoming a front-end developer. I hope youā€™ll find something useful that can help you in your journey, especially if youā€™re just starting.

When I finished 10th grade during the pandemic, I stumbled upon a hacking video on YouTube. It caught my interest, and I decided I wanted to be an ethical hacker. I watched lots of videos on hacking and learned that many hackers use Kali Linux, a special operating system.

So, I tried installing Kali Linux on my slow PC, which wasnā€™t easy because it only had 3 GB of RAM. After I finally got it installed, I ran into problems with the browser not working. I watched many videos trying to fix it, but nothing helped until I heard an experienced person on a podcast saying that coding could be useful for hacking, but not necessary.

This got me interested in learning to code. When I started 11th grade I pursued commerce even though I didnā€™t want to, because for some reason, at that time I found out about web development and decided to give it a try. I started with HTML and CSS. However I got distracted during my classes, so I decided to focus on skills after finishing 12th grade.

After finishing 12th grade, I went back to learning coding from scratch. I learned HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript and then Tailwind CSS and now Iā€™m almost done with React. Iā€™m glad to say Iā€™m now a Front-End Developer!ā€
