HSBC Interview Experience for SDE
HSBC visited our campus to conduct interviews for the trainee software engineer profile. Only B.tech females were eligible to participate in this profile.
The interview process comprised five(5) rounds. The recruitment process proceeded as follows:
Round 1: Computer-Based Online Test
The first round consisted of an online test. The test covered the following topics:
- Analytical Ability
- Quantitative Ability
- Verbal Ability
- Technical (includes OS, DBMS, SQL queries, and computer networks)
Duration: 60 minutes
Note: The questions were at an intermediate to difficult level.
Those who clear this round proceeded to the next round.
Round 2: Coding
In this round, we had to solve two questions. The questions were at an intermediate level.
One was based on a combination of both strings and arrays.
The Second was based on dynamic programming.

Note: time constraint was the biggest challenge to solve the problem within a given time constraint.
Out of 2 questions, I was able to solve only one question. Because of that, I was able to proceed to the next round.
