HCL Interview Experience for Software Engineer
A total of 300-400 students from CS/IT ECE appeared for the On-campus recruitment process, Out of which 40 were selected. The process involved a total of Two rounds. I will try to walk you through my experience and also give you some tips/advice for each round.
Round 1: Online Test
- There are three Sections.
- The First Section was Based on Aptitude and covered some of the Topics like Quants..etc.
- The Second was Computer Fundamentals, some basic Excel and Computer Shortcuts also covered programming concepts in Data structures, DBMS, and other concepts
- Two Coding Questions are very basic and easy questions.
- The first question is about Armstrong type Question and the Second one was given an array and value k we have to count the elements which divisible by k
Tips for this round:
- You must be very good at Programming Concepts and aptitude.
- Stay calm at the time of the test. Just do your best.
Round 2: Technical Interview
Time: 0 mins
- The best part is there is no Technical Interview the Selected candidates from Online Test are directly sent to HR Interview.
- Out of 300 people 120 members qualified for the HR Interview.
Tips for this round:
- Stay Calm.
Round 4: HR Interview
Time: 15 mins
- Greeted HR and the first question was “Tell me about yourself”.
- Started giving Self Introduction and said about the project in my SD.
- The next question was briefly explained about your project and questions were asked how it is different from others.
- And she also questioned me about the hobbies mentioned.
- What do you know about our Company and what is the annual income of the company also who is the CEO of the company?
- Would you work on weekends and can you put extra hours in working days
- How do you handle pressure, and willingness to relocate a job location?
- Surprisingly, HR asked what is a constructer.
- And, lastly, She briefed me about the company and technologies used and also about the training period.
- Explained about Service Agreement
Tips for this round:
- Be confident and Interactive.
- Research the company and the roles and responsibilities of an employee.
- The HR was very friendly our interview went like a discussion.
