HCL Interview Experience for Graduate Engineer Trainee (Off-Campus)

HCL conducted their off-campus drive for B. Tech students for the role of GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee)
There were a total of 3 rounds, so let’s look at them one by one.
ROUND 1-[Aptitude & Technical MCQ s]:
1. Quantitative aptitude:
In this Quantitative aptitude, they mainly cover this topic for my off-campus online assessment.

- Simple and Compound Interest
- Time and Work
- Time, Speed, and Distance
- Data Interpretation
- Probability
- Number Series
2.Logical and Analytical Reasoning:
For me in this logical reasoning looks easy but it consume some time.
- Coding and Decoding
- Blood Relations
- Puzzles and Seating Arrangements
- Syllogisms
- Data Sufficiency
- Logical Deductions
3.English:
- Grammar and Syntax
- Vocabulary
- Reading Comprehension
- Synonyms and Antonyms
- Error Detection and Correction
- Passage Analysis
4.IT fundamentals:
In this assessment they gave basic MCQ’s like Problems with pseudo-code, pointers, strings, loops in C/C++, DBMS
ROUND 2-Technical Round(Coding round):
- In this they are 2 coding questions are their for me they gave SQL queries. But some of my friends got
- Programming coding questions in programming Language’s we can choose, For me one Basic fetching the data query and another one some medium query . I attend both
ROUND 3-HR Round:
They directly took me HR round and The HR representative was friendly and professional, creating a comfortable environment for discussion. In this round, I was asked these questions:
- My introduction
- Tell me about the HCL and why HCL?
- projects that are mentioned in my resume?
- who is Your Inspiration and why ?
- How do you handle the pressure?
- your coming from non-it why choose IT filed?
- How can write email and tell me the structure to write a formal email to your Manager.
- Are you comfortable for night shifts?
- Are you willing to relocate?
- Can you work under the pressure?
