Goldman Sachs Interview Experience for SDE Internship

I had a very nice interview experience, despite not being fully prepared. The interview lasted around 50 minutes, and although I was in my 5th semester and didn’t get selected, the experience taught me a lot. Here are the questions that were asked:

Arithmetic Operation of Two Numbers Without Doing the Actual Operation

Binary Operations Between Two Numbers

Given a Random String of Bits, Calculate Its Relation With a Given Number Without Actual Arithmetic Operations

Implementation of Tic Tac Toe

Key Points to Remember:

Never Tell the Interviewer You Don’t Know the Topic Immediately:

First, try to solve the problem. If you can’t, politely say that you are struggling with it and ask for hints.

Try to Solve Every Question They Ask:

Make an effort to tackle each problem. Showing your problem-solving process is important.

Be Yourself and Explain Why You Want to Join Their Company:

Share your genuine interest in the company and its values.

Even though I didn’t get selected, it was a valuable experience. Since then, I have attended many interviews and am hopeful of getting placed soon.
