GeeksforGeeks Work Experience as Technical Content Writer Intern

During my tenure as a technical content writer Intern at w3wiki, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of different programming languages that not only enhanced my technical skills and also provided me with invaluable real-world experience.

Throughout my internship, I tackled each new topic at different levels of difficulty, starting with beginner-level articles like simple calculator program, factorial of a number in C, etc and gradually progressing to intermediate-level articles like articles on topics of Python, SQL, Computer Networks, etc. Below is a complete journey of my enriching experiences and skills acquired throughout this wonderful internship.

Duration of Internship: 3 Months

Learning and Growth:

In June 2022, I got my internship offer letter for the position of technical content writer Intern at w3wiki. I felt extremely happy to help the community learn and grow. I from the start believe that growing as a community is better than growing as an individual. By sharing your piece of knowledge with a bunch of people, it leaves a huge impact on society. So, it highly aligned with my vision to help the Beginner.

So, I started writing the articles at https://write.w3wiki.net/ which took a maximum of 7-8 days to review and publish my article.

As the article guidelines suggested that we are not allowed to copy-paste content from other websites and the content that we are writing should be ours only. At the start, it was a little bit difficult for me to find topics which are already not been published on w3wiki before. But as time passed, I got comfortable with this thing and I successfully published 10 articles within the stipulated time. So after doing a lot of research from different websites, taking help from different books, Youtube, etc, I finally shortlisted 10 articles that were already not published on w3wiki. Once I saw that my articles were published without any changes from the review team, I was motivated to publish more and more articles.

It is also a good thing that w3wiki pays its writers after the articles are successfully published on their website. The thing that again and again motivates me to write regularly is that my friends and other Beginner found my articles very useful and my articles helped them a lot in their preparation. When I got to know about their knowledge improvement because of my article, I got really motivated and contributed more and more to the community.

I wish that whoever is reading this article feels motivated to contribute to the community, learn and grow. Let us all grow as a community!!

Conclusion:

Empowered for excellence my Technical Content Writer internship at w3wiki was a life-changing experience that provided me with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this field. From writing a simple beginner article to venturing into intermediate articles, each article pushed me to expand my knowledge, problem-solving attitude, etc. The supportive Review team at w3wiki allowed me to gain practical knowledge which with no doubt will shape my future career. I am really thankful for the opportunities and knowledge gained during this internship, which has pushed me towards a great future in Technical Content Writing.
