CGPET Exam Experience

CGPET(Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test) organized by CG Vyapam or CPEB (Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board) is an entrance exam to get into private and state government colleges of Chhattisgarh state. It is a state-level entrance test conducted once a year for candidates who want admission to various undergraduate engineering courses.

Subjects Asked:

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Mathematics

Syllabus: All the syllabus from class 11th and 12th state board is covered in this examination.

Level of Question: Easy to medium level of Questions are asked.

Duration of Examination: It is a 2:30-hour examination.

Mode of Examination: It is an offline, OMR sheet-based examination.

Generally, it takes place in May or June depending upon the class 12th state board examination schedule.

The only thing that is important to note is that CGPET asks basic questions, which is why it is very important to understand the topics and their applications.

Exam Day Preparation for CGPET:

1. Since the Exam takes place in May and June, it is very important to carry hydration with you to the examination centre.
   Note: Do not carry fancy water bottles with you, since it requires extra security checks. Carry Transparent bottles to avoid disturbance.
2. CGPET is an offline, OMR sheet-based exam, that why it is very important to carry an HB pencil and a ball pen with you.
3. Fill the OMR sheet carefully, to avoid mistakes.
4. Attendance sheet also needs to be signed by the candidate to mark present in the examination.

Do try to finish the examination in 2 hours instead of 2:30 hours because filling out the OMR sheet and marking attendance takes 10 to 15 minutes of your time which creates pressure if time management is not minded from the start of the examination.

The cut-off of CGPET ranges between 25-35 marks in the past 3 years (2021-23).
