CAT Exam Experience

Hello All,

As I start my post I would let you know that nothing is impossible & one shouldn’t lose hope & keep working diligently.

It was 23rd April 2022 when I enrolled on TIME classes for my CAT & MH-CET exam prep due to the background of doing an MBA degree course and having a move in my career which was currently under software testing in TCS. CET score made me confident of not achieving anything as I wasn’t committed to it. Thus, the following effort of 7 months till my exam on 26 November 2022 was worthwhile which I would like to share.

Working with TCS and going to classes on weekends for 4 hours would take away my all mental energy along with my physical energy and also the exams of classes conducting mocks would fetch me lower marks & percentile as low as 30% percentile.

I thought with all these results I didn’t stand a chance & as I had a secure job the seriousness of my standing a chance and delivering was second to none in both efforts & mentality. However, one of my professors in the classes told me that exams like the CAT can make you a hero on the main day and make the heroes of classes(toppers) fumble on the main exam day.

Last 10 days I used to sit for doubt sessions, practice Quants & Verbal and attempt logical reasoning though it was time-consuming and I was slow in it along with office work schedules. But as luck would have it my practice of those 10 days along with the Luck factor as described by the professor helped me to score an 85.51% percentile making me stand a chance to compete even though it appeared less. But my experience and marks together gave me the platform and hope to compete & eventually come out Trump by securing admission to KJ Somaiya Management College considering the juggling effect of TCS and Interview preparation for the college selection.

Conclusion: As I look back and if anybody is struggling currently in their exam endeavours do remember even the best players can falter on the biggest stage & the unexpected ones can become the hero of the night in that way, I would sum up my journey of CAT exam.
