My Course

I joined B.Tech course at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College(AKGEC) in the year 2021 having branch Information Technology(IT).

B.Tech refers to Bachelors of Technology which is a 4 year undergraduate degree program in engineering or technology.It focuses on technical and practical training in the various domains of engineering.There are various specializations in this program which are as follows:

INTERVIEW PROCESS

For those who get admissions based on management quota there were interviews held before the admissions.The interviews were generic in nature taken by the Dean of the college.

Some of the questions were:

• Why do you want to join our college?
• Which branch do you prefer?
• Why do you prefer the mentioned branch?

CRITERIA AND PROCESS

The management seats are booked on a first come first take basis. If the requests exceed the number of seats then there is shortlisting based on the 12th class percentage.

The counselling seats are filled through AKTU counselling which requires the JEE percentile as a criterion for college and branch allotment.

AKTU Counseling and Admission Process

AKTU has various structured programs whose admission process has many stages. All applicants who qualify due to passing their exam or fulfilling other conditions can apply for this course if they meet these requirements.

Seat Allotment

Based on their ranking and values, AKTU offers seats for eligible students. Seat allocation is guided by the applicant’s merit and the available seats in the program and institution they have chosen. Candidates may then decide whether they want to lock their allocated seats forever(FREEZE) or let it upgrade or remain as they are until counseling is over(FLOAT).

Freeze Option:

When a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, they can choose to freeze it. By doing so, the candidate effectively reserves their admission into the program and college offered and secures their slot.

Float Option:

If the candidate chooses to float the seat, this will mean that his or her initially allotted seat is temporally held and in the next round of counseling, if his or her rank improves or his or her preferred choices become available, it will be considered again.

Document Verification:

Once candidates have been allotted a seat in AKTU, they should go to the assigned college or university with their documents for verification purposes. The necessary documents to present at this stage include educational certificates (mark sheets and degrees), identity certificates, domicile certificates and any other required by AKTU.

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation:

As soon as applicants successfully complete their document verification process, they will have to promptly make a payment meant for admission in order to confirm that they occupy their seats. The amount of money required is mostly payable via internet or at the other designated branches’ banks.
Once the fees are paid, the admission process is considered complete.

General Advice:

Candidates are required to adhere strictly with the counseling and admissions timetable that has been announced by AKTU. Not meeting any of the steps within the provided timeframe will lead to losing the allocated seat.

As an advice, candidates are urged to keep abreast with the AKTU website in order to avoid missing the release of modification announcements or alteration in guidelines which may occur from time to time concerning counselation procedures or procedures for processing entrance into any college under it.

Furthermore, these potential candidates should have available all required documentation needed during the admission process for a quick start without any delays.
